Role Description

This is a full-time, workshop role for a Production Manager based in Wellington. The Production Manager will oversee daily operations in the production of structural steel, ensuring projects meet timelines and quality standards. Key responsibilities include managing production schedules, logistics, coordinating teams, monitoring progress, and maintaining compliance with industry safety standards. Additionally, the Production Manager will identify process improvements to optimize efficiency and performance.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and team coordination skills, including experience in managing production teams.
• Knowledge of structural steel manufacturing processes, structural welding and quality control standards.
• Proficiency in project management tools and scheduling software to manage timelines effectively.
• Ability to ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements in the manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to optimize production workflows and resolve challenges.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams effectively.
• Relevant qualifications in engineering, manufacturing, or related fields are advantageous.
• Knowledge of industry certifications such as SFC is a plus.
