Equipment Technician / Diesel Mechanic

The Opportunity

This position comes at an exciting time for our Nelson Branch as CablePrice (long standing Hitachi construction equipment supplier) has just been appointed as the New Zealand importer and distributor for Tigercat forestry and off-road industrial machinery.

As a result, we are looking for anexperiencedandenthusiastic Equipment Technician / Diesel Mechanic to join our dedicated team.

This position would suit a mechanical trades professional who will provide quality, efficient, and accurate service and maintenance outcomes, and isn't afraid of going above and beyond in this exciting, but critical support role.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following :

Heavy Diesel and / or relevant Automotive Qualification

Prior experience with Tigercat equipment would be advantageous

Mechanical capability and technical skills; diagnosing faults and servicing heavy commercial vehicles

Excellent diagnostic ability with analytical thinking to navigate the complex issues that come up in our day-to-day challenges

Confidence in your computer literacy and a committed, customer-focused mindset
