About the Role
The Cardiology Department at Te Whatu Ora Waitemata are seeking a Specialist Cardiac Sonographer to support the Team Leader in overseeing the Cardiac Sonography discipline, ensuring the team is resourced and delivering high-quality, evidence-based care.
The role blends advanced clinical leadership with approximately 0.2FTE of clinical practice.
You will provide day-to-day staff coordination, promote excellence in clinical standards, and maintain discipline-specific capability across the service.
Working collaboratively with Clinical Leaders and Team Managers, youll help manage resources, uphold professional quality and ethical standards, and lead the development of core practice areas to ensure equitable and effective patient care.

Our ideal applicant will have :
A Cardiac Ultrasound qualification acceptable for registration with the NZ Medical Radiation Technologists BoardA current Annual Practicing CertificateA minimum of 5 years experience as a qualified Cardiac SonographerA minimum of 2 years experience in a senior clinical leadership rolePreference will be given to candidates with experience providing clinical supervision, mentorship and coaching.
