Join VetSouth's Invercargill Companion Animal Team as a Veterinary Nurse, providing surgical and clinical care while making a difference for animals, clients, and the community.
Your Role
Key responsibilities include :
Surgical nursing, including hospital preparation / care, anaesthetics, and animal handling
Vet nurse consults and client education
Collecting and submitting diagnostic samples
Digital radiography and imaging
Fluid therapy and IV catheter placement
Participation in the weeknight and weekend on-call roster as part of the Companion Animal Team
About You
The ideal candidate will have :
Diploma in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent)
Strong communication and client-care skills
Eagerness to learn and ability to adapt to changing priorities calmly and efficiently
A friendly personality and enjoyment of being part of a well-functioning team
An organised, energetic, and motivated approach
