Associate Software Engineer

About the opportunityYou'll join a knowledgeable team who ensure that technology-based enhancements or functionality are delivered to internal clients with minimal cost and time delays.

We'll support you to :

Work collaboratively in product teams with Business Analysts, Architects, other software engineers, and Operations staff to define and deliver detailed application design and development to meet requirementsUnderstand and contribute to software application architectureWork closely with and provide third level support to the Application Support teamsLiaise with Test Manager / Analyst in reviewing of test plan to ensure appropriate coverage and performance

We'll also get you involved in introducing new capabilities for users by understanding their needs and exposing users to the available capabilities of technology through new developments.

Your CV and cover letter will clearly demonstrate :

A bachelor's degree in computer science or other related field, or the equivalent work experience.You'll have outstanding written and verbal communication skills and like to present technical concepts in an easy-to-understand way.

Some experience / understanding of working with applications DevOps toolchains for continuous build, integration, packaging, and deployment, and / or understanding of working in both Agile and Waterfall software development environments.

A year or more relevant analysis and programming experience in the technology as listed below is an advantage :

Strong coding skills in a mainstream programming language such as Java, C#, JavaScript, or PythonSource control systems - preferably Git
