    Woolworths NZ is transforming to make Kiwis lives better everyday. Our internal wiq (Woolworths and Quantium) Advanced Analytics team is focused on helping to rapidly drive this change by unlocking the power of data to reimagine retail.

    The wiqNZ team is highly skilled and works with some of NZ's largest datasets in an Agile model allowing us to solve complex problems for the NZ business and across Woolworths Group. We are innovators, investigators and apply Customer first thinking to all we do.

    The wiqNZ team is on a transformation journey ourselves, with a goal to embed much greater partnership, alignment and innovation co-creation with our analytics peers in Australia. This requires an experienced strategic leader who can play a pivotal role in defining and orchestrating our advanced analytics transformation, including how we partner with internal Group teams, partner agencies and suppliers.

    About the Role | Mō te Tūranga

    As the Head of Advanced Analytics & Transformation, you will play a key role in shaping the overarching advanced analytics roadmap within the Woolworths NZ business. This role draws heavily upon a strategic and cross-functional stakeholder management skill set, ensuring the analytical solutions being built for Woolworths NZ are aligned with Group best practice and unlock business value at pace.

    You are a well-rounded analytics professional, possessing the qualities of a strong leader and senior business partner to deliver on continuous improvement of technical capabilities in wiqNZ, as well as building a talent pipeline and future leaders.

    As data and advanced analytics continue to rapidly grow in its potential and benefits, in this role you will guide, contribute and be exposed to emerging technologies and innovations delivering impact and better experiences for millions of customers and our teams.

    Key responsibilities include :

    • Play a significant leadership role in defining and orchestrating our advanced analytics transformation roadmap.
    • Demonstrate thought leadership and build deep knowledge of Woolworths Group processes to drive innovation
    • Guide, mentor and lead the Woolworths NZ Advanced Analytics team
    • Act as the senior Advanced Analytics liaison between wiqNZ and wiqAU platform and technical teams
    • Partner with teams across the wider business to ensure knowledge sharing takes place to drive outcomes
    • Act as the senior leadership point of escalation on quality assurance across Woolworths NZ technical solutions
    • Champion existing and new wiq tools and their roll-out and use across WWNZ.

      Combining your strategic mindset and extensive experience in driving data & advanced analytics transformation program outcomes, ideally in large retail / FMCG / consumer organisations, you are a senior leader looking for an exciting opportunity to really make your mark.

      You possess a natural ability to influence stakeholders of all levels and have a deep commercial understanding that enables you to identify the impacts of different analytical solutions. An excellent communicator and a natural leader with experience in developing teams, you seek to continually improve, innovate and look to the future.
