Are you passionate about creating meaningful change in communities across Tamaki Makaurau?
We're looking for a strategic and relationship-driven leader to join our Community Partnerships & Investment team as a Regional Partnerships Lead.
In this role, you'll lead cross-sectoral collaborations with central government, council teams, and community organisations to address priority issues and deliver impactful outcomes for Aucklanders.
This role is pivotal in shaping Auckland Council's response to complex community challenges.
You'll be at the forefront of initiatives that support thriving communities.
By fostering high-trust partnerships and guiding investment strategies, you'll help ensure that our partnerships and community organisations are empowered to deliver lasting, evidence-based solutions.
Your work will directly contribute to the Auckland Plan and the Nga Hapori Momoho – Thriving Communities Strategy.
Responsibilities
Lead cross-sectoral collaborations with central government, council teams, and community organisations to address priority issues and deliver outcomes for Aucklanders.
Shape Auckland Council's response to complex community challenges and support thriving communities through investment strategies and partnership development.
Foster high-trust partnerships and guide investment decisions to enable community organisations to deliver lasting, evidence-based solutions.
Engage with diverse stakeholders to influence strategic investment and policy aligned with the Auckland Plan and related strategies.
Qualifications
Over 7 years' experience in partnerships roles, ideally within community development or public sector environments.
Proven leadership and cross-sectoral collaboration skills
Strong political acumen and understanding of local government
Comfort with te reo Maori and a commitment to operating from a Te Ao Maori worldview
Excellent facilitation, communication, and negotiation abilities
Relevant bachelor's degree and a full driver's licence

We are expecting to appoint the successful applicant at a salary of between $108,630 - $120,700 per annum, depending upon experience.
