About the Role

As an Equity Manager, you will ensure that a Northland-wide approach is taken to ensure participation in the breast and retinal screening programmes for eligible populations, with a focus on achieving equity for priority populations. This includes managing the day-to-day operations of the Retinal Screening Service and the Recruitment and Retention team for Breast Screening, ensuring culturally safe, responsive, and integrated service delivery.

Both services have fixed sites in Whangarei and provide mobile screening to the rest of Northland / Te Tai Tokerau District. Applicants need to be willing to travel extensively throughout Northland to engage with Iwi health providers and other organisations supporting women to screening.

About you

As an Equity Manager, you will be skilled at building strong, respectful relationships and maintaining supportive working environments.

Candidates need to have experience in health promotion, working with priority populations, Iwi and community providers within the Northland / Te Tai Tokerau District.
