Long Bay College is a co-educational secondary school located near Long Bay Beach and Long Bay Village.

The school opened in 1975 and has approximately 1900 students with 160 teaching and support staff combined.

This is a full-time permanent position due to roll growth.

As a college we offer specialist mathematics, numeracy, calculus and statistics courses, including timetabled classes focused on students achieving NZQA Scholarship in calculus and statistics.

The terms and conditions, including base salary and hours of work, for this position are set by the Secondary Teachers\' Collective Agreement.

The base salary for trained and registered teachers will range from $61,329 to $103,086, depending on the applicant\'s qualifications and experience.

An individual\'s actual base salary will be established by a salary assessment once a role is confirmed.

New graduate teachers may be eligible for a pre-tax payment of $10,500 through the Voluntary Bonding Scheme, subject to conditions.

Responsibilities

Teach Mathematics and Statistics to senior and middle school levels as part of the college\'s specialist courses.

Lead and participate in numeracy, calculus and statistics programs; contribute to timetabled classes aimed at NZQA Scholarship achievement.

Contribute to a culture of care and support a digital campus environment.

Collaborate with colleagues to support high academic and co-curricular achievement.

Qualifications

Certificated teacher with suitable registration to teach in the New Zealand education system.

Experience teaching Mathematics and Statistics is preferred; new graduates are welcome to apply.
