About the Role
This is an exciting new role for an experienced Mental Health Allied Professional.
The role is based at Ihi Ora, in Grafton but will work across the whole of the Te Toka Tumai catchment, at all four Community Mental Health Centres (based in Grafton, Greenlane, Mount Eden and Panmure).
The successful applicant will lead the development and ongoing delivery of a therapeutic group programme across the Adult Community Mental Health Services (CMHS).
This will include group facilitation, including pre and post group assessment and transition planning.
Collaborating with the Clinical Nurse Specialist of Psychologist Therapies the successful applicant will will ensure the sustainability of a therapeutic group programme that delivers evidenced based, contemporary, and relevant treatment to the population group served by the Adult CMHS.
This role will have some coordination functions but will primarily provide group treatments with facilitators from across the Adult CMHS.
The role may also provide assessment and treatment of a small caseload of tangata whaiora relevant to their professional background.
The role is scoped as an Advanced Allied Health Clinician for relevant professions as per the Allied Health Career Framework.
Clinical Psychologists will also be considered for this role and scoped at their appropriate level according to the appropriate collective agreement.
About the Team / Service / Location
The Adult CMHS consists of four Community Mental Health Centres, providing evidenced based assessment and treatment to adults within Te Toka Tumai presenting with moderate to severe mental distress and illness.
The service has different functions providing service to tangata whaiora in all phases of treatment, including Care and Recovery, acute and crisis presentations.
All centres are multidisciplinary teams and provide comprehensive mental health care including psychiatry, nursing, psychological and psychosocial interventions.
The services work closely with our non-government partners providing supports to our tangata whaiora on the community.

As an experienced mental health Allied Health professional, you will have :
Registration with appropriate registering body, and a current Annual Practising Certificate
