The opportunity

Following an internal promotion, we’re excited to offer an opportunity for an Underwriter to join our Auckland-based team within a global insurance organisation. Partner with a wide range of brokering partners.

Down to earth, collegial team.

Broad exposure to varying types of short-tail commercial underwriting, including property, motor, liability and contract works.

Your new role

We’re seeking an Underwriter to manage accounts across a broad range of brokering partners. You’ll be responsible for overseeing the commercial portfolio, including :

Contribute to strategy, planning, and execution of policies and product plans to maintain portfolio balance.

Underwrite standard and complex risk business in line with business plans and delegated authority.

Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.

Support growth through quotes, renewals, policy maintenance, problem-solving, and collaboration with intermediaries.

Occasional travel to meet key broker partners.

About you

You’re an insurance professional with excellent stakeholder relationship skills. In addition you’ll have :

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Proven problem-solving ability.

Business Development and Sales experience is preferred.
