The Manager HR Recruitment and Training Operations leads delivery of core people services to the organisation's largest operational business unit, ensuring recruitment operations, workplace training, and frontline HR support are consistent, scalable, and aligned with guidance from HR centres of expertise.

Lead recruitment and training operations to build a high-performing workforce.

Drive end-to-end recruitment strategies and deliver impactful training programmes.

Shape future of talent acquisition and capability development.

Deliver strategic recruitment and training solutions that make a difference.

Qualifications

Operational HR delivery experience including recruitment and training.

Workforce service planning skills.

Relationship and stakeholder management.

Continuous improvement and automation expertise.

Proven experience leading operational HR delivery functions, preferably in a large or complex organisation.

Demonstrated ability to deliver consistent, scalable people services.

Experience working with senior stakeholders in an operational context.

Experience implementing service improvements and supporting workforce initiatives.

Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Organisational Development, or related field (desirable).

Eligibility

To join Customs you must be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident and obtain and maintain an Organisational Security clearance to Confidential level.
