Legal Services is part of CCS - Business and is one of the largest government in-house legal teams.
About the roles - Mo te tungaWe have seen a growth in our debt focused work and have two permanent opportunities for Business Support Officers (level two) in Auckland and Hamilton to meet this demand.Our Business Support Officers play a key role in supporting the functions of Legal Services with a strong focus on liquidation and bankruptcy matters.Amongst other things, our Business Support Officers :draft court documents for review by solicitorsfile documents with courts across the country and liaise with court staffarrange for the service of documents through process serversassist with the preparation and organisation of documents for court hearings, including the assembly of bundlesmanage physical documents and files and maintain accurate and up-to-date records in our electronic case management systemmanage and track the life cycle of each litigation file, ensuring correct processes are followed and all relevant timeframes and court deadlines are met.The Business Support team are a close-knit team who are able to work together in a collaborative manner, to balance their priorities and deliver on time.Alongside supporting our litigation team with our liquidation and bankruptcy work, you will also :support electronic discovery processes and the use of our e-discovery software to facilitate discovery and process, analyse, review and produce court documents in complex litigation casesproduce, co-ordinate and distribute information and documents in a tailored format to support delivery of better business outcomesbuild highly effective relationships across the Legal Services and Business Support team and other key internal and external stakeholderswork across internal Inland Revenue systemsundertake general administrative activities such as archiving, invoicing, filing and updating records.About you - MouWe are looking for someone who has the following :Proactive and motivated outlook with an interest in learning new systems and ways of workingA keenness to look for and realise opportunities to add value to the team and support your leadersThe ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesStrong attention to detail and is meticulous and accurate in document preparation and record keepingExcellent communication, organisational and time management skillsA keen understanding of the need for confidentiality and a high level of integrity and professionalismExcellent stakeholder and relationship management skills with the ability to liaise with the Business Support and litigation teams along with external stakeholders to deliver priorities and outcomesA willingness and the confidence to progress work without close supervisionA desire to be part of an in-house legal practice committed to delivering for your customersExperience in an administrative or business support role, alongside a sound understanding of MS OfficeThis is your opportunity to be engaged in interesting and challenging work across Legal Services and Inland Revenue.We offer an agile environment and flexible work practices where you'll be encouraged to innovate and prioritise your professional development to achieve your career goals.Salary band between $60,385 - $74,637.
