About the role :

As an integral member of our team, the In-House Legal Counsel will provide provide high-quality and pragmatic legal advice / support across a broad range of matters, including intellectual property, contracts, corporate governance, employment law, and general business operations.

This position is an exciting opportunity to contribute to an absolute Dunedin success story making waves internationally.

This is a full time permanent position based out of Dunedin.

Key Responsibilities :

• Provide legal advice and support to senior management and business teams on a broad range of legal issues, including IP rights, commercial contracts, employment matters, and compliance with industry regulations.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a range of contracts across ARL’s operations (including employment)
• Advise on corporate governance matters and ensure compliance with New Zealand laws and regulations.
• Manage ARL’s VISA / Immigration process for staff travelling around the world.
• Manage ARL’s insurances & associated compliance
• Stay up to date with relevant legal developments, and provide training to internal teams as necessary.

About the successful candidate :

We are seeking a commercially astute lawyer holding a current NZ Practicing Certificate. This would be an ideal position for a legal professional seeking a move out of practice into an in-house role.
