- We're looking for an NZ Registered Medical LaboratoryScientist (MLS) to join our team at Canterbury Health Laboratories, a leadingmedical diagnostic reference laboratory in New Zealand.
This is a part-time, fixedterm opportunity working in the Anatomical Pathology Department.
Preferredhours of work are Monday-Thursday within
.Part of Canterbury Health Laboratories and based on thecampus of Christchurch Hospital, the Anatomical Pathology Department is made upof a team of Medical Laboratory Scientists, Medical Laboratory Technicians,Pathology Assistants, Pathologists, Registrars and administrative staff.In this role, you will be responsible for :Supporting the Section Head in the operational performance of the laboratory.Carrying out all procedures accurately and efficiently according to protocols.The provision of consistently high-quality service.About YouSkills and experience :Previous experience in Histology, including special stains and immunohistochemistry, is preferableYou will be registered (or eligible for registration) as a Medical Laboratory Scientist with the New Zealand Medical Sciences Council.You will be a highly motivated team player with excellent interpersonal skills and able to work as part of a team as well as independently.Effective time management skills and communication skills.The ability to maintain high professional standards in line with the Code of Competencies and Standards.A working knowledge of laboratory information systems.Working at Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuringexcellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.We embrace a workforce thatis diverse and inclusive so that we are better positioned to understand andservice our community
