Drawing from their team's extensive experience as former contractors, they uphold values of collaboration, flexibility, high standards, and efficiency, ensuring successful project outcomes.The Role : Currently seeking an experienced Estimator / Quantity Surveyor to join as an Associate / Senior Associate in their Tauranga office.

The role involves a mix of shorter-term quantity surveying and cost estimate-based assignments, as well as some long-term project quantity surveying work.

You will work on various infrastructure projects including water & wastewater treatment plants, pipelines, bridges, roads, rail, tunnels, and more.As a key team member, you will support business development initiatives and contribute to the strategic growth and long-term direction of the company.

Your input will help shape future opportunities and drive the ongoing success and expansion of the business.Role Responsibilities : Provide expert advice on cost and commercial aspects throughout the planning, design, and delivery phases of projectsContribute to project feasibility studies and optioneering from a cost and constructability perspectivePerform quantity take-offs and develop detailed cost estimatesAssess and manage construction-related risksSupport cost negotiations and tender evaluations as a subject matter expertReview commercial agreements and contractor terms during procurement negotiationsContribute to the development of effective project procurement strategiesDeliver comprehensive project quantity surveying and contract administration servicesLead or support project controls management, including programme, risk, cost, and process oversightParticipate in project reviews, providing cost assessments and commercial insightsQualifications and Skills : Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, quantity surveying, or a related fieldMinimum of 7+ years of experience in the construction industry, with a solid background in horizontal infrastructure / water projectsPrior experience working for a NZ-based civil contractor (Tier 1 / 2)Excellent stakeholder and client management skills, with clear written and oral communication abilitiesIf you are interested in learning more about this opportunity, please apply via the advert or contact Jordan directly.
