Your New Opportunity
With an imminent retirement on the horizon for one of our very knowledgeable and respected team members, we are on the hunt for a technical expert to join the business and prepare themselves to be able to fill a big pair of shoes and provide comprehensive Penske product and technical support and knowledge to our branch network, dealers and customers.
This is a full time permanent position based in our Auckland Branch. The role will work alongside three other Technical Support Specialists who are currently based in our Christchurch and Tauranga branches. Regular travel within NZ is required in the role, in order to complete visits to Branches, Dealers and other customers. The successful applicant will be well compensated with a competitive salary and a company vehicle with full personal use.
Key Responsibilities :
- Work with the technical support team to ensure all technical issues for dealers and customers are addressed in a timely manner and elevated to our OEM partners as required;
- Provide technical assistance and training on all products to Penske branches and dealers / agents within New Zealand (including warranty processes);
- Write technical failure analysis reports for distribution to Penske employees and other OEM's and customers;
- Prepare for and complete regular visits to the Dealer support network and assess their ongoing training and tooling needs;
- Act as the primary contact between body building companies and Penske, communicating any technical updates as relevant;
- Review and recommend parts holdings for major product lines and assist purchasing teams on technical parts issues;
- Ensure all Branches complete PDI's to best practice standards to ensure risk is fully minimised from a warranty perspective;
- Facilitate internal and external truck / bus build progress meetings as required
