In recent years, there has been a significant focus on reducing the environmental impact of engines and increasing the flexibility of engine control through digitalization. You will play a key role in this latter aspect.

We are looking for a highly committed student assistant to join our groups responsible for designing solutions for the electronic control of our engines. Your mission is to make the day-to-day life more efficient for our control engineers in these groups by using all the good tricks up your sleeve to develop some kickass scripts and applications.
More specifically, our new Python master will :
- Write scripts for automating various processes (Python)
- Handle scripts and small GUI applications for automatic software tests (Python)
- Develop applications for automatic software updates of physical test systems (Python)
- Further develop various helper tools for data processing and plotting (Python)
- Maintain and further develop build server setups and scripts (Jenkins)
- Make minor adjustments in application code and simulation environments (embedded C++)

This position is specifically for individuals enrolled in an industry master’s program. The industry master is a 4-year part-time master’s degree that combines academic studies with practical work experience in the industry, allowing you to earn a salary while studying. To be eligible, you must be enrolled in a master’s program and able to work at least 25 hours per week. Working hours will be structured to align with your educational schedule.

You will become part of the Automation & Control department. This department is responsible for delivering the software that controls the world's largest two-stroke engines and consists of about 40 highly engaged engineers. We are divided into smaller groups, and you will join the TOOLS team. A cornerstone of the team's methodology is transparency and the belief that multiple heads think better than one. This is reflected in our frequent discussions about our tasks. We make an effort to present tasks clearly and are open to input from others. We also have a strong team spirit and host several social events throughout the year, which we hope you will enjoy being part of.
