The Company

Our client is a New Zealand leader offering an incredibly powerful SAAS platform that is used by many New Zealand companies as a very powerful lead generation tool.

The platform is truly quite remarkable. The technology is so good and at a price point that is so affordable that I understand why the close rate on new clients is so high, around 80%.

It really is a formidable tool for any business and just an amazing solution for an enthusiastic BDM to be involved in selling.

The Opportunity :

The role of the BDM is to prospect for new clients and perform Sales Demonstrations / Presentations of the platform. This can be either done online or face to face, depending in on what is preferred.

There will be plenty of sales leads to follow up, but you will need to be a confident and proactive prospector and be able to make at least 10 client demonstrations each week.

You will give given amazing training and be supported by great leadership and join a team that is genuinely very happy and successful.

A full  work from home  business model is in place, with the team coming together a few times a month, so we are only looking at candidate who live in Auckland .

The team of Business Development Managers open and close the sales and then hand the new client over to an Account Manager, who will onboard the new client and will continue to look after them, allowing the BDMs to get back out there and make further sales.

The Role in more detail :

  • Prospect and make appointments for sales presentations.
  • Present the platform in person or by online demonstrations to key decision makers.
  • Tailor the solution to suit clients’ requirements
  • Supplement company generated leads with your own prospecting and cold calling.
  • Complete at least 10 sales demonstrations / presentations a week.
  • Manage sales pipeline. Follow up and call backs.
  • Work autonomously to manage own schedule.
  • Join the wider team for catch ups and training.
  • You may be based anywhere in Auckland – with 100% work from home options.
  • There is an expectation that you work 40 hr / wk.
  • If you manage your time well, it will allow flexibility in your day.

About You

  • 2-3+ years B2B Sales / BDM experience
  • Preference will be for those who have sold a non-tangible solution, rather than a product.
  • Must be entirely confident in new business activities (cold calling, through to sales close)
  • Communicates with confidence & intelligence.
  • Responsible to manage a work from home model.
  • Strong time management and pipeline management
  • A proven track record of securing new business & achieving sales activity targets.
  • Experienced presenting to clients by online sales demonstrations.
  • Have a home set up and good internet connection.
  • Good work ethic. When you are working, you have 100% focus on the job.
  • You will need to demonstrate attributes of drive, adaptability, be a strong presenter, communicator, and listener.

    Rewards :

    Base and Commission = OTE $130K ++ (Top earners are $150K plus)

    You will join a team of professional salespeople, who are motivated and driven, management that is supportive and will treat you like the senior salesperson that you are….no micromanaging here.
