We’re recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join a well-established manufacturing operation in Masterton. This is a critical role in the reactive maintenance team — supporting breakdowns and ensuring machinery stays running in a fast-moving production environment.

About the Role
This is a hands-on, roaming fitter position focused on reactive and breakdown maintenance across a complex, high-speed site.You’ll work on a wide range of equipment, including :Gearboxes, conveyors, loadersPneumatics and hydraulicsMachinery alignments and rebuildsThe environment is fast-paced and physical — ideal for someone who thrives under pressure, enjoys variety, and is confident solving problems on the go.

Trade qualified Mechanical or FitterProven experience as a Maintenance Fitter / Maintenance Engineer in fast-moving productionStrong skills in alignment, tolerance work, diagnosticsFamiliarity with hydraulics, pneumatics, and gearboxes & other similar plant equipmentHigh attention to detail and ability to work under pressurePositive attitude, good communication, and strong work ethicWhether you come from FMCG, sawmilling, or heavy manufacturing — if you know your way around mechanical systems and enjoy the challenge of keeping production on track, we want to hear from you.
