Accounts Payable Assistant – Part-Time Contract

Auckland CBD | Part-Time 20 hours per week | Flexible Hours | Immediate Start

We’re seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Accounts Payable Assistant to help ease pressure on a busy finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, owning their work, and keeping processes ticking over smoothly during peak periods.

What’s on offer :

  • 28–$30 per hour (based on experience)
  • Part-time contract; approx. 20 hours per week
  • Flexibility with scheduling, with Wednesdays required in the office.
  • Potential for ongoing work and broader scope for the right candidate

Key responsibilities :

  • Process staff expense claims accurately and efficiently, using Concur
  • Ensure correct coding, alignment with cost centres, and timely approvals
  • Liaise with stakeholders to clarify discrepancies or obtain missing information
  • Assist with accounts payable functions including invoice checking, data entry, and reconciliations
  • Contribute during peak periods, especially month-end, to manage increased volume
  • Provide broader finance team support as needed, maintaining flexibility and attention to detail

    • The ideal candidate will have :

  • Previous experience in accounts payable or finance administration
  • High attention to detail and comfort working with volume
  • Familiarity with Concur or similar expense systems (preferred)
  • A collaborative, open-minded approach and willingness to help across the team
  • Strong organisational skills and commitment to following through

    Please note for all Australian based contract and temporary roles only, the pay rate is inclusive of mandatory 25% casual loading. This excludes permanent and fixed term roles.
