Practice Nurse at NZ Defence Force, AucklandMo te tunga | About the roleThe Force Health Organisation team delivers health services to NZDF military personnel in New Zealand to maintain, improve and restore health in order to enhance Force effectiveness.As the Practice Nurse, you will be responsible for providinga range of safe and efficient primary nursing services to NZDF personnel at our managed clinic in Whenuapai.Providing health education and information to support patients to enhance their health outcomes will form part of this role, along with providing support to the Medical Officer.There will be some administrative functions and medical records to maintain, as well as the ordering of medical supplies.The role is Monday to Friday, with a weekly commitment of 40 hours.You'll be a Registered Nurse with a current practicing certificate along with considerable experience in primary healthcare environment.A current vaccinator and smear taker certificate would be ideal.Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will shine through, as will your personal time management skills and ability to work collaboratively with the immediate and wider health teams.Please note : If selected for interview you will be required to provide certified copies of your medical qualifications including your practicing / registration certificate and possibly a statement of good standing.Nou te rourou | What's in it for youYour skills and dedication deserve recognition, and NZDF delivers with competitive pay matched to your experience.
