Located within Rotorua Hospital, we provide secondary level specialties, with tertiary care available at Waikato Hospital.We are part of the Te Manawa Taki / Midlands Anaesthesia Training Rotation, along with Tauranga and Waikato Hospitals.

An application to this position is considered an application to the training rotation.

The Rotational Supervisor and Supervisors of Training shortlist, interview, and appoint collectively as a rotational committee.

It is typical to progress to Waikato Hospital to continue training after a year at Rotorua Hospital.Lakes is located in the central North Island of New Zealand - Aotearoa.

Rotorua is approximately 230 kilometers southeast of Auckland, and Taupo is about 80 kilometers south of Rotorua.Lakes is a geothermal wonderland and home to several scenic lakes, including Lake Taupo, the largest in New Zealand.

Rotorua and Taupo are popular for hiking, mountain biking, water sports, and experiencing Maori culture.For more information on living and working in Lakes, click here.About youYou will have : MCNZ registration or be eligible for general or provisional general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.

Check your eligibility at accredited by ANZCA for one year of training, suitable for introductory trainees or those with anesthetic experience.At least 2 years of clinical experience post-graduation.Applicants outside NZ and Australia must have previous anesthetic training experience.Applicants are asked to share their ranking of the New Zealand anesthetic rotations they applied to.

This ranking is discussed nationally.

They should also specify their preferred hospital in the Midland Rotation for starting their training.
