F / M who will be excited to work on one of these projects : Otaki to North of Levin (O2NL) Highway (Manawatu–Whanganui) : A new highway improving safety, reliability, and travel times along SH1 — strengthening connections across the lower North Island.Northland Corridor Improvements (Northland) : Upgrading key routes in the region with safer roads, stronger bridges, and better access for growing communities.Does it feel like a project you would be ready to take on?

Keep reading!What you can expect as a Site Engineer @HEB Construction?As part of HEB's project delivery team, you'll take an active role in supporting the safe, efficient, and high-quality construction of major infrastructure projects.

The responsibilities below are shared across both projects, though priorities may vary depending on project stage and focus.Your Key Responsibilities Will IncludeQuality Assurance & Environmental (30%)Support safe planning and site executionDevelop and manage inspection and test plansPerform quality checks and compile documentationEnsure correct environmental controls are in placeProvide setout info and technical input as neededPromote a culture of quality and environmental careHealth & Safety (30%)Apply and uphold HEB's safety proceduresIdentify hazards and participate in briefings and trainingEnsure compliance with safe work practices and PPE useContribute to incident reporting and investigationsSupport the implementation of temporary safety measuresFinancial & Programme Management (30%)Assist with procurement, cost tracking, and invoicingPrepare purchase orders and variation claimsContribute to contract programmes and tender supportPerform key commercial support tasksOther Missions (10%)As part of your duties as a site engineer, you may be required to work on other projectsWhat about you?You'll Be a Great Fit IfYou're looking for a role that mixes fieldwork with project coordination, and you're eager to get hands-on experience in construction.You have a Master's degree in civil engineering and / or construction and already had a first experience—internship, apprenticeship, or job—that gave you a solid understanding of how a site operates.You make Health & Safety a priority.

You follow the rules and actively contribute to maintaining a safe work environment for everyone.You're comfortable with the fast pace and direct communication of construction sites, and your can-do attitude helps you face challenges head-on.You've got strong interpersonal skills and enjoy being part of a team.
