Operations Supervisor – Waste Transfer StationPosition DescriptionWe are seekinga well-rounded, energetic, adaptable and experienced Operations Supervisor to oversee the day to day operations of our waste transfer station and collection fleet.

Youwill be someone who has road transport and mobile plant operational experience working with both drivers and machine operators.

Trucks, routing and operations will be familiar to you, and you will flourish in a fast-paced environment.As part of this dynamic team, you will have effective communication skills combined with strong and positive supervisory skills while providing outstanding leadership to the team.

As part of your role, you will be comfortable monitoring drivers' daily tasks; route optimisation; overseeing efficiency of operational processes; analysing and reporting and managing costs.

The Operations Supervisor will also be responsible for leading and coaching a small team at our waste transfer station.Our ideal candidate willhave the following : Relevant qualification in Business, Logistics or related field.3 – 5 years' experience in operations and / or the transport industry.Proven previous people management experience in a similar field or environment.Self-motivated and works to strict deadlines.Strong written and verbal communication is a must.Strong relationship builder and team player.This is a fantastic opportunity to work for Green Gorilla – New Zealand's highly successful independent recycling and waste company that sets the trends of waste services in our country.
