As demand for sustainable and reliable energy infrastructure continues to grow, we are strengthening our engineering team to enhance product design, testing, and compliance.

The Role

We are seeking a practical and detail-oriented Technical & Design Engineer to support the design, development, and testing of our current transformers, voltage transformers, and metering equipment. This is a cross-functional role with responsibilities spanning both product design and technical support for our ISO / IEC 17025 IANZ accredited test laboratory.

You will work closely with the engineering, production, quality, and laboratory teams to deliver robust designs, resolve technical issues, and ensure that our products meet performance, accuracy, and safety standards. Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop LV and MV instrument transformers, including new product development and product improvements
• Generate and manage detailed CAD models, manufacturing drawings, and bills of materials
• Collaborate with production and test lab staff to resolve design and testing-related issues
• Provide technical input and design validation support for type testing, accuracy testing, and high-voltage testing within our IANZ-accredited laboratory
• Support the preparation and review of technical documentation required for product certification and compliance (e.g. AS / IEC 61869 series and related legacy standards)
• Assist in maintaining the technical integrity of test procedures and calibration methods in line with IANZ requirements
• Participate in failure investigations, root cause analysis, and design revisions based on lab or field performance data
• Drive product cost reductions and performance improvements through design optimisation
• Maintain clear, structured engineering documentation in line with internal quality systems, ISO 9001 and ISO / IEC 17025 requirements
