At Toi Moana Bay of Plenty Regional Council, our environment and our people go hand-in-hand. We're on a mission to ensure that both thrive – and digital infrastructure plays a key role in making that happen. We’re looking for a Network Engineer to take ownership of our core network and telephony systems, ensuring seamless, secure, and efficient service delivery across our organisation and partner councils. This is a vital hands-on technical role with scope for leadership in project delivery and network design. You'll help shape the stability, performance, and security of the systems that underpin all of our digital services.

Reporting to the Chief Security Officer, you will be responsible for the provision and monitoring of our complex interconnected systems which form our network infrastructure. In this role, you will :

You will have excellent communication and customer service skills and at least 5 years’ relevant experience in the IT industry to ensure you have sound knowledge of server and desktop operation systems, routing and switching technologies.

You’ll be joining the Operations & Security Team. We are a passionate team that works hard to ensure minimal disruption to everyday IT operations, managing core networks and keeping our IT infrastructure secure through digital security.
