• Manage your own portfolio of small to medium-sized clients with the support of senior team members.
• Prepare annual financial statements and tax returns for a variety of entities including companies, trusts, and individuals.
• Handle GST, FBT, PAYE and other compliance obligations.
• Assist with the preparation of budgets, cashflows, and management reporting as required.
• Work collaboratively with our team to improve systems, processes, and client outcomes.
• Identify opportunities to add value and improve efficiency in client engagements.What They Are Looking For

• Someone with solid technical accounting and tax skills, who's eager to keep learning.
• A self-starter who can manage their own workflow and meet deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• A positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a supportive and professional team environment.
• A background or familiarity with rural clients is a bonus—but not essential.What You'll Need
• 3–5 years' experience in a New Zealand Chartered Accounting practice.
• Working knowledge of Xero, Xero Workpapers, and related accounting software.
• Strong understanding of NZ income tax and GST compliance.
• Progress toward CA qualification (or planning to pursue it).
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.
• They're an approved ATO and can provide a mentor if needed.
