The Alpine Group is a family-owned tourism business based in Wanaka, operating brands including Minaret Station, Alpine Helicopters, Southern Lakes Heliski, and Southern Lakes Helibike.Minaret Station Alpine Lodge is New Zealand's most remote luxury lodge, accessible only by helicopter.

We offer discerning guests a truly unique experience that blends world-class comfort with breathtaking wilderness, adventure, and authentic Kiwi hospitality.In an exciting opportunity, we are seeking an Executive Chef to join our team.At the heart of the Alpine Lodge, Minaret Station's Mountain Kitchen plays a pivotal role in our guests' satisfaction, catering to overnight guests, small private functions, and daytime visitors.The Executive Chef is responsible for designing and delivering contemporary set menus daily, often including off-site gourmet picnics and private lunches.

A key aspect of our guests' experience is their culinary journey, where our food remains true to its flavors with a simple yet refined style.We seek an Executive Chef who has a passion for culinary arts and excels in showcasing the best of local venison, beef, lamb, seafood, and seasonal produce that epitomizes the region.

The ideal candidate will bring a positive attitude, thrive as a team player, and ensure every guest enjoys a memorable, gastronomically delightful stay.Join us at Minaret Station Alpine Lodge and contribute to creating unforgettable moments in New Zealand's most remote luxury lodge.Desired Skills3-4 years of proven high-standard culinary experience, including showcasing New Zealand's venison, beef, lamb, and seafoodConfidence in managing the remotely located Mountain KitchenPrevious global experience as a private Chef in a premium Lodge or Restaurant is advantageousAn innovative and creative approach to designing and delivering daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner options with a focus on fresh, seasonal produce, catering for groups of up to 14 guestsFlexible and adaptable in a dynamic environment with high guest expectationsThis is a permanent full-time position requiring overnight stays at Minaret Station Alpine Lodge, up to 4 nights per week, as part of a rolling roster.Applications close on Friday, 29 August, unless filled earlier.Please note, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.Join us at Minaret Station and be part of an unforgettable experience in one of New Zealand's most beautiful locations!
