Description

We are looking for an experienced Construction Manager to join the Higgins Bay of Plenty Region.

Reporting to our Region Manager, you will be based at our Mount Maunganui branch and play a pivotal role in our senior leadership team.

As the leader of our civil construction division, you will oversee large capital works and minor projects.

Your responsibilities will encompass the full spectrum of construction project and contract management, including commercial and financial performance, client liaison, and work programming.

You will be leading a team of 8 direct reports and a wider team of approximately 70.

What You'll Bring To The Role

Extensive proven experience in a similar role, with a focus on capital works

Understanding of technical, contractual, and financial requirements involved in construction and maintenance contracts

Experience in tendering, commercial management, budgeting, P&L management, and cost control

Strong business acumen and business development skills

Civil Engineering Degree (desirable)

Proven track record in coaching, mentoring, communication, and relationship management
