Quantity Surveyor

This reputable commercial construction company is known for its integrity, quality projects, no nonsense delivery and long-term client relationships, with more growth they are looking for a Quantity Surveyor or a Senior QS to join their team.

With offices in several locations across New Zealand, their well established Queenstown business delivers new builds, fit-outs, and extensions in the $1M–$20M range across the commercial, apartments, industrial and government sectors. They enjoy a stable and experienced team, with a friendly and down to earth team culture.

About the Role

You’ll work with an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor and take ownership across the full project lifecycle from early-stage estimating and tendering through to procurement, contract management, reporting, and final account, you’ll play a key role in delivering successful commercial construction projects, resolving issues, and developing external relationships.

This is a varied and hands-on role with the chance to support the growth of a great business and could see you supporting the leadership team with new business planning, system improvement and mentoring junior staff.

Skills & Experience

• Quantity Surveying qualifications
• Proven QS experience on commercial or large residential builds
• Good understanding of NZ3910 and local construction methods
• Experience measuring concrete and carpentry highly regarded
• Confident communicator with strong attention to detail
• Comfortable getting out of the office and building on-site relationships
