Purpose : Ensures design solutions meet the needs of Orah’s users and customers.

Design Responsibilities
Designing elegant solutions for complex business problems within schoolsDesigning intuitive user interfaces for various personas and levels of technical abilitiesLimit confusion by communicating all product functionality, behaviours, and error states to end usersExcellent use of design elements such as text, icons, colours, images to clearly communicate with usersProduct Specifications
Producing required prototypes, diagrams and documentation for engineering teams to useCreating marketing and support materials when neededDocumenting key business rules core to the understanding of the productCross-team Collaboration
Working with Product Managers and Product Owners to understand user needs and project requirementsWorking with Engineering teams to drive understanding of intended functionality and experienceWorking with Sales and Success teams to gather feedback and produce collateral when requiredUX Research
Inform design solutions with researchValidate design solutions with user testingMeasure design solutions with feedback and usage trackingCapture areas of improvement and continue to iterate and refine design solutionsMeeting with customers regularly to stay in tune with their needsQuality Assurance

Formal tertiary education in a field of design5+ years of relevant work experience as a UX designerLocation & Working Hours
New Zealand - remote (ideally based in Auckland)
Generally working hours will be 10 am - 6 pm (NZST) Mon-Fri to overlap with development teams working in India
6 am start - 1 day per week when needed to meet with customers in the US timezone
General availability for meeting with teams from different timezones (Canada, US, Australia, UK, Japan, India) on a semi-regular basis
