The role of the Restraint Coordinator is crucial in ensuring that IDEA Services adheres to both our internal Restraint Minimisation and Safe Practice Policy, as well as Part 6 of the Nga Paerewa Health and Disability Services Standard NZS

Nga pumanawatanga ou | What you will bring

• Requirement : Registered CPI Safety Interventions Trainer or the potential to become certified as a CPI Safety Interventions trainer
• Possession of a valid full driver's license
• Proficiency in leading team-based training for challenging teams and / or teams working with individuals with complex support needs
• Adequate understanding of Positive Behaviour Support, De-escalation Techniques, Trauma-Informed Practices, Sensory Modulation, and other strategies for minimizing the use of restraints.
• Ability to think creatively, problem solve, and constructively challenge existing norms
• Advanced computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and accurate management of administrative tasks
• Positive attitude and a strong commitment to continuous learning and upskilling while on the job
