Join Te Toka Tumai, Auckland as an Interventional Radiologist working in a full time, fixed term position as part of the Northern Regional Interventional Radiology Service.
Based at Te Toka Tumai Auckland City Hospital, one of the largest public hospitals in New Zealand.
The interventional Radiology service includes world class programs in vascular and non-vascular IR and is a recognised leader in clinical trials.
Interventional Radiology provides 24-hour care to patients for the Northern Region.
The regional service runs across several sites covering Auckland City Hospital, Northshore & Waitemata Hospitals and Northland Hospital.

Auckland City Hospital has the national liver transplant unit and busy renal and lung transplant programs
The department runs two concurrent IR Fellows offset by 6 months.
There is an extensive redesign program in place to develop a state of the art department.The Auckland IR and INR service was a pilot site for the new RANZCR Specialist IR training program and will be part of the RANZCR Specialist IR and INR training scheme.

About the Service
The Northern Regional Interventional Radiology Service has a large team of dedicated IR nursing, IR medical imaging technologists, and IR administrative staff focussed on delivering the highest quality of care and maintaining the Auckland as a leader in IR.
There are 8 IRs across two sites, with 6 IRs primarily based at Auckland Hospital and 2 IRs primarily based at Northshore Hospital, with sessions at Auckland City Hospital.
When necessary IRs cover across both sites, with a plan to also cover Northland Hospital.
Consultant IRs are encouraged to develop and lead in areas of special interest.
