We’re seeking a Project Manager – Civil (Transportation) to join our Tauranga team. This pivotal role focuses on delivering high‑quality consultancy services, driving project excellence, and fostering strong client relationships across the Bay of Plenty region.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead multidisciplinary transportation projects with a strong focus on service excellence and client outcomes.
  • Manage project planning, scoping, risk, and financial performance to ensure timely and profitable delivery.
  • Prepare project scopes, briefs, fee estimates, and delivery plans.
  • Provide technical guidance, oversee project verification and reviews, and ensure compliance with relevant standards (Austroads, NZTA, MOTSAM, Tauranga City Council’s Infrastructure Development Code).
  • Build trusted relationships with clients, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders, including local authorities.
  • Champion health, safety, and wellbeing practices across all project phases, ensuring compliance with SHEQ obligations.

What You’ll Bring

  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Preferably a minimum of 5 years’ professional experience in transportation engineering, civil project management, or a related field.
  • Proven track record in project delivery, client satisfaction, and commercial success.
  • Strong commercial acumen, strategic thinking, and understanding of transportation design workflows.
  • Leadership experience and a collaborative, client‑centric mindset.
  • Current, clean driver’s licence.
