Librarian Community Engagement - New Lynn HubAuckland Council's Community Wellbeing department has an opportunity for a Librarian to join the Community Delivery team at the New Lynn Hub.This is a critical role for the Council and will focus on delivering exceptional customer service, supporting community engagement, and promoting literacy and digital inclusion.You could expect to work on : Supporting customers with library and digital resourcesDelivering and promoting community programmes and eventsBuilding relationships with local iwi, Pasifika, and community groupsChampioning te reo Maori and cultural responsivenessSupporting outreach, co-design, and inclusive service deliveryFind a copy of the position description hereThis role requires experience in the library and community engagement space.
You will have experience in similar roles within large, complex, and potentially political organisations.We will be looking for specific experience with the key role requirements : Recognised library or relevant tertiary qualification (LIANZA registration preferred)3+ years' experience in libraries or related fieldsStrong digital and information literacyExperience working with diverse communities, including Maori and PasifikaKnowledge of library systems, privacy principles, and collection managementWe encourage you to apply even if you don't meet every requirement listed.
