Agentic Intelligence — New Zealand (Christchurch)
About Agentic Intelligence
We build the intelligence layer for business : AI agents and workflow automation that turn messy, real-world processes into measurable outcomes. Recent work includes an AI-first operating system for residential construction (consenting & pre-construction), compliance & advisory tools for financial services, voice agents for customer service, and municipality cost-reduction plays.
The role
We're hiring full stack developers at all levels—from juniors to seniors. It's all about you as an individual : your attitude, curiosity, and drive to get things done matter most. We leverage tools like Replit, Cursor v0, and others to handle the coding grunt work, so we need your sharp thinking, architectural insight, and ability to deliver that crucial last mile. You'll design, build, and operate AI-powered products end-to-end : from APIs and data models to agent workflows, evals, and clean UIs. Expect rapid cycles, high autonomy, and tight feedback loops with founders and domain leads.
What you’ll do
Build production web services, UIs, and data pipelines that power agentic workflows.
Implement tool / func calling, planning, and eval harnesses to keep agents reliable.
Work across modules like pre-construction / consenting, compliance checks, and voice assistants.
Integrate third-party systems (APIs, CRMs, telephony, payments, data stores).
Ship safe, observable code : logging, tracing, feature flags, test coverage, CI / CD.
Partner with domain experts to translate user stories into deliverables and KPIs.
Help shape engineering standards and mentor as we grow.
Outcomes over fluff : measurable impact, fast shipping, low bureaucracy.
Real users, real leverage : work that removes cost and creates headroom for NZ businesses and councils.
Autonomy with support : own problems end-to-end, backed by domain leads.
Growth : shape standards, hire the next wave, and level up your craft.
How to apply
Send a short note with links to your CV and GitHub / portfolio, plus 1–2 shipped projects you’re proud of and why. If you don’t tick every box but get things done, we’d still like to hear from you.
