Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced head of department (HoD) English, to provide curriculum leadership and ensure excellence in teaching and learning across our New Zealand regions 18 campuses.
As regional English HoD, you will be responsible for what is taught and how it's taught within our English department.
You will lead curriculum design through the Learning to Learn Framework, ensuring assignments and lessons are engaging, innovative, and of the highest quality.
This role provides academic leadership across campuses by guiding teachers, overseeing curriculum and assessment, and ensuring alignment with NCEA requirements.
It supports and mentors staff to maintain high teaching standards, collaborates with principals to monitor student progress, and promotes a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
You will need :
Valid NZ Teachers Registration
Eligibility to work in NZ.

Leadership experience at middle or senior school level
Strong curriculum planning and assessment expertise
Ability to inspire, support and hold staff accountable
Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
