Dental Assistant

As a fast-growing organization with multiple clinics, we are seeking permanent full-time positions as dental assistants.

Clinics involved are :

Naenae Dental Clinic, Wainui Dental and Hutt Dental Hub

Locations :

10B The Strand, Wainuiomata, Lower Hutt 5014

9 Hillary Court, Naenae, Lower Hutt 5010

$24-$30 per hour depending on experience and qualification

Please note that before applying for this position you must have NZ residency or citizenship.

Flexibility in hours is important in this role as rosters may include weekend work and late nights.

A positive attitude yet high standards of professional and personal presentation is essential – you must want to learn and be willing to be coached, show initiative, and demonstrate a high level of self‑responsibility.

Key Responsibilities :

As a Dental Assistant at our state‑of‑the‑art practice, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operations of our clinic while providing exceptional patient care. Your responsibilities will include :

Assisting the dentist during procedures by preparing treatment rooms and sterilizing instruments and equipment, disinfecting and cleaning treatment rooms and other areas to maintain a high level of hygiene.

The sterilization process must be documented to ensure compliance and traceability.

Greeting and preparing patients for treatments, ensuring their comfort and addressing any concerns.

Taking X‑rays, impressions, and maintaining accurate patient records.

Providing chairside assistance during procedures, anticipating the dentist's needs, and ensuring patient comfort.

Provide orthodontic assistance if required.

Collaborating with our dedicated team to maintain a clean and organized clinical environment.

Participating in weekly team trainings to stay updated on the latest industry trends and advancements.

Key skills and requirements we’re looking for include :

• NZ Certificate in dental assisting or equivalent would be desirable
• Minimum of 3 years dental chairside assisting experience is required
• Mature and punctual
• Great team working abilities
• Able to work well under pressure
