We are seeking a compassionate and qualified guidance counsellor to provide professional counselling and pastoral care for ākonga, with a focus on supporting chronic absence and re‑engagement. This position offers a meaningful opportunity to enhance ākonga wellbeing, strengthen connections, and empower rangatahi to thrive in their learning.

Key responsibilities

• Provide confidential counselling and wellbeing support for ākonga.
• Monitor and respond to chronic absence, developing re‑engagement strategies.
• Collaborate with whānau, kaiako, kura leadership, iwi, and agencies for wraparound support.
• Contribute to kura-wide pastoral care, attendance, and wellbeing initiatives.
