Senior Accountant

We are seeking a dedicated Accounting Professional to join our Business Advisory team in Oamaru on a permanent full-time basis. If you are an experienced Senior Accountant or Manager, we want to hear from you!

What will your typical week look like?

This role is responsible for ensuring that all aspects of client engagement are running smoothly with a strong focus on client delivery. Our Family Office approach will allow you to provide more personalised advice to our clients, ensuring greater independence and client contact.

• Preparing financial statements and income tax returns for clients, use your strong technical skills including working knowledge of income tax, company tax, GST, FBT, trusts, management accounting and reporting requirements.
• Assist in preparing business advice and / or producing complex special purpose reports, annual financial statements, tax returns and reconciliations.
• The ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and clients.
• Proactive attitude, self-motivated and ability to work unsupervised and in a team environment.
• Manage, coordinate and delegate client work to team members with an appropriate level of capability to ensure team targets are met
• Drive retention by empowering and nurturing team members to develop their capability and deliver exceptional performance
• Mentor and coach junior staff team members
