The purpose of the Onboarding tima (team) is to provide the best onboarding experience to new to bank customers in a timely manner.

Our tima is in an exciting state of transformation, as we continue to evolve the digitised onboarding experience and we are looking for a passionate leader who can influence and motivate a tima, lead change, and be obsessed with serving customers brilliantly.The ideal candidate will be an existing people leader who is wanting to refine their leadership skills in a new area of the bank, or you may be an experienced, high-performing tima member who is looking for the opportunity to challenge yourself in the leadership space.

This is a dynamic turanga (role) so you will need to be comfortable with leading change and inspiring your people to be agile and to be the best that they can be.

Coaching and uplifting our people will ensure that the service we are able to offer our customers exceeds their expectations.

We offer flexibility in this turanga, including two Mahi (Work) From Home (WFH) days per week.

Anchor days in the Auckland office are Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

  • Mo te Turanga | About the turanga
  • We sat down with the Senior Manager - Onboarding, and they let us know the following about the turanga (role).
  • Leading a tima of between 10 - 16 direct reports.
  • Successful risk management; ensuring the tima compliance with external legislation, bank standards and internal operating policies and procedures.
  • Develop people through coaching and feedback to enable uplift in capability.
  • To ensure we meet our service level agreement and quality requirements daily.
  • To actively own tima processes and collaborate with other Tima Leaders to ensure we are delivering a standardised customer and colleague experience across Onboarding tima.This turanga sits within an inclusive and collaborative tima.

The sharing of best practices, knowledge and support occurs organically within this tima on a daily basis.

  • Exceptional leadership skills.
  • Preferably 2 years or more in a People Leader role.
  • Strong coaching skills with proven ability to motivate and inspire individuals.
  • Role modelling BNZ behaviours.
