Pet Groomer

Petcare Kiwi Shop & Grooming is a boutique grooming and boarding facility located in East Auckland. We pride ourselves on providing loving, safe, and high-quality care to dogs and cats. Due to growing demand, we are hiring a Pet Groomer to support our daily pet care operations. You will work 30-45 hours per week, and the hourly rate is from $24-$28, subject to your skills and experience.

Tasks

• Washes, dries, trims, brushes, combs and grooms pets’ coats, clips their nails, and cleans their ears.
• Bathes pets; trims, combs, blow-dries and styles their fur; clips nails; and performs routine ear cleaning.
• Examines, sets up, sanitises and maintains clean, comfortable cages and enclosures for pets.
• Delivers food, replenishes water containers, and feeds pets in line with their specific dietary requirements.
• Updates and manages animal health records, provides basic treatment for minor wounds, and alerts Veterinarians to any serious health concerns.
• Engages pets in exercise and play, responds to enquiries from visitors, and moves pets between enclosures by guiding or carrying them.
• Applies insecticides by dusting or spraying pets, and immerses them in insecticidal baths to manage and eliminate pests.
