• Wehave an exciting opportunity for two Healthcare Assistants to join our team ina casual capacity at Kurawaka Waipapa - Birthing Unit located in centralChristchurch.AHealthcare Assistant is an integral part of our team. We are looking forcandidates who can demonstrate excellent communication skills, a positiveattitude and the ability to use their initiative. You will be responsible for :
• Assisting staff in providing quality patient care
• Assisting in keeping the patient's environment clean and tidy
• Ensuring the ward is appropriately stocked
• Maintaining a safe working environment at all times

• KurawakaWaipapa is a birthing unit with 4 birthing rooms containing birthing pools and20 postnatal rooms.TheCanterbury Waitaha and West Coast Te Tai o Poutini Maternity System has adynamic, dedicated and specialised team of health professionals working withinboth our purpose built, secondary / tertiary maternity facilities and ourCommunity Birthing Units.AtHealth New Zealand, we are committed to providing outstanding maternity carerooted in the values of Ōritetanga, Whanaungatanga, Tino Rangatiratanga, Orangatonutanga, and Aroha. • Healthcare Assistant experience in a similar environment
• New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing - Level 3 (desirable)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organisational, time management and problem-solving skills
• Ability to achieve accuracy and maintain attention to detail
• Ability to meet deadlines and work unsupervised as well as in a team
