Here you are supported, here you are celebrated, here you can thrive.Your New RoleThe Senior Manager, Standards and Practice APAC leads the strategic and operational requirements for content compliance in the region.

Responsibilities include advising on compliance frameworks, content review, content versioning and content certification for the APAC region.Working with key stakeholders in Legal, the Senior Manager supports operational requirements for new business needs or changes to regulatory requirements, translating these into actions for the Standards & Practices team.The role collaborates with Programme Planning leads to determine content versioning and certification requirements for new titles and library titles published in new territories.

Responsibilities span all content verticals including, but not limited to, theatrical, scripted, unscripted and kids programming.The Senior Manager is responsible for managing the regional content compliance team; allocating work, monitoring output to meet quality thresholds, overseeing escalations and ensuring on-time publication.

The role also manages resource requirements to maintain efficient workflow processes.The Senior Manager reports to the Senior Director of Content Compliance and Re-versioning and provides local regulatory input, regional strategy guidance, and support for other project initiatives as required.The above list of duties is not exhaustive and other requirements within the scope of the role will be managed as needed.Your Role AccountabilitiesCommunicate with internal stakeholders and external partners on APAC compliance matters to ensure platforms (HBO Max, Go, etc.), channels (HBO, WTV, CN, etc.), and other content (e.g., marketing material) are compliant with local standards and practices.Manage the Standards & Practices team to achieve maximum efficiency : work assignments, schedules, training and development, goals, reviews, contracts.Regularly review local regulations and sensitivities in the region and how they relate to our content.

Work with Legal, Government Affairs and Public Policy, as well as local partners and regulatory bodies to track changes and ensure compliance.Collaborate with relevant teams on new projects, workflows and systems for new products (e.g., HBO Max launches, Native Frame Rate project, consolidation of legacy systems, vendor / affiliate onboarding).

Review content with the team and ensure ratings and consumer advice are available on time for all platforms and channels, using tools such as iBroadcast, Landmark, Monday, Airtable and Foundry applications.Manage versioning for different markets across Asia for streaming (HBO Max) and linear channels; create bespoke versions as needed due to local sensitivities.Maintain documentation on ratings, edits, ban information and sensitive content for cross-functional teams (e.g., CX, Merchandising, Programming) to support planning.Qualifications & ExperienceAt least 10 years of experience in content compliance within the media industry.Deep understanding of regional compliance requirements.At least 5 years of experience managing operational teams.Relevant degree.Ability to work with cross-functional, multi-cultural teams.How We Get Things DoneHere at WBD, our guiding principles are the core values by which we operate and are central to how we get things done.
