The Rural Youth and Adult Literacy Trust (RYALT) is looking for a caring and committed volunteer to support an adult female student in Tuakau.You'll meet regularly at a local library or community centre to provide one-on-one literacy support—and help someone open the door to new opportunities through learning.Why Volunteer as a Literacy Coach?

Requirements : Preferably has an educational background (but not essential)Patient and supportive in their approachGood computer skillsFluent in English – strong spoken, reading, and writing abilitiesReliable and committedA friendly, empathetic personalityFull training and ongoing support provided – no teaching experience required!

A Police background check is required for this role.Time commitment : 1–2 hours per week
