Job Summary

We’re looking for a Sports Journalist to work on the Newstalk ZB team, producing agenda‑setting news for radio and delivering content across NZME’s other platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Produce on‑air sports news and stories for Newstalk ZB.
Create written content for radio, digital and other NZME channels.
Research, write, edit, and fact‑check sports stories.
Work within tight deadlines and varied shift patterns.

Qualifications & Skills

Outstanding sports knowledge and news sense.

Broadcast‑quality voice, strong writing and editing skills.

Confident on‑air presence and team player.

Ability to learn quickly and thrive on deadlines.
