Our wicked team, state-of-the-art dyno bay and tuning expertise set us apart as a destination workshop for customers who want more.

We're also trusted by loyal fleet clients for WOFs, servicing, tyres, and repairs, and we're proud to be Southland's ShockPro workshop. We're in growth mode, and we have huge potential - we looking for the right person to join us as General Manager and really take control and realise that potential.

You will be the one who runs the shop day-to-day as if it's your own.

This isn't just another management job.

Your decisions will directly shape a growing business from day one, with impact you'll see immediately. The RoleForget corporate desk jobs and endless meetings — this is a sleeves-rolled-up management role.

You'll be the one who runs the workshop day-to-day : leading the team, keeping jobs moving, and making sure customers get straight answers and top service.

You'll bridge customers and crew, handle the tricky calls, and free up our techs to focus on what they do best. But it's bigger than that.

You'll be across people, performance, and profit— driving efficiency, setting standards, managing accountability, and spotting and actioning opportunities to grow.

You'll report directly to the owners, but with real autonomy to run the place like it's yours.Your Focus AreasBusiness presence & community : Be the face of Coyote — from opening the workshop after hours for a sponsored drift driver to change tyres, to jumping on a weekend call because you've found a killer sponsorship opportunity.

You'll spot ways to connect with the community, organise staff events, celebrate the wins, and keep the culture aliveTechnical & customer support : After our receptionist, you'll be the go-to for customers — stepping in when technical knowledge is needed, translating info clearly, and handling challenges with confidence.Team leadership : Mentor, support, and set standards so the crew delivers their best.

Recognise gaps in skills and find the right development opportunities to close them.Operations : Oversee workflow, quoting accuracy, and production efficiency.Relationships : Build strong supplier and customer connections.Profit & growth : Find new lines of business, negotiate better deals, keep costs sharp.Growth : Spot opportunities, improve systems, and help scale the business.Reporting & financial oversight : Provide weekly and monthly reports to the owners for performance tracking and decision-making.What we're looking forYou'll bring solid automotive experience — ideally as a qualified mechanic or someone who's spent time on the tools.

You might already be a GM or Service Manager, or you could be a Workshop Controller or Foreman who's been leading people and is ready to step up into full management. This role is both leader and enforcer.

You'll set the standard, drive morale, manage performance, and make the tough calls when needed — always in a way that earns respect.

Firm but fair : building trust, motivating the team, and making sure everyone's pulling in the same direction. And above all, we want a genuine good bugger who gives a damn— about the team, the customers, and the community they live in.

Someone who thrives on engagement, backs local causes, shares bold ideas, and makes people feel like they truly matter.

Relationships are everything. What matters most is that you : Lead naturally — lift a team just by being thereGet stuff done — no endless meetings, just actionBuild relationships — from suppliers to tough customersThrive in growth mode — love building systems and levelling up a businessOur Culture (Work in Progress)We're building the kind of workplace we all want to be part of : Celebrate wins together — no tall poppy hereGrow as a team — everyone gets chances to level upStay above the line — solutions, not dramaKeep improving — "what got us here won't get us there"As our GM, you won't just participate in this culture — you'll help shape it.What We OfferGenerous salary + car + performance bonusesGrowth opportunities — Options to exploreDevelopment — 12-month external business coaching program includedStrong foundation — talented team and solid systems, ready for the next levelWhy this role mattersThis isn't just another management job.
