  • About the Role

    As the sole psychologist in the team, you will be based across two sites : Greenlane Clinical Centre and Kahui Marino (Point Chevalier).

    The role is primarily clinical, where most of the time is client-related, but incorporates clinical education and clinical leadership components relevant to the area of speciality.

    • Supporting the adjustment and rehabilitation of people and their whanau following a variety of physical health conditions, including stroke and neurological conditions, amputations, orthopaedic conditions, functional neurological disorders etc.
    • Comprehensive psychological assessment and outcome-focused innovative care, applying evidence-based practice, interventions and education.
    • Contribute collaboratively to our interdisciplinary team
    • Managing the scope for individual, interdisciplinary, and group interventions
    • Deliver cognitive and neuropsychological assessments as appropriate for your skill-set / professional development.
    • Contributing to quality and service improvements and development of team members and students, as well as themselves.About the Team / Service / Location
    • Community Rehabilitation (CoRe) team, a specialist, interdisciplinary service for assessment and rehabilitation for adults within Te Toka Tumais Community and Long-Term Conditions Directorate.

      We are a team of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists and therapy assistants, who provide intensive, evidence-based and individualised rehabilitation, primarily for people discharging from hospital following a recent medical event and significant change in level of function.

      This can include stroke, functional neurological disorder, other neurological conditions, amputations, and orthopaedic conditions etc.

      We offer home, clinic, and telehealth appointments tailored to the rehabilitation needs of our clients.

      About you

      To be successful, you must have :

    • New Zealand registration Psychologist and have a current Annual Practising Certificate (APC)
    • A postgraduate diploma in Health Psychology or Doctoral degree in Clinical psychology (or equivalent)
    • Experience in a physical health, medical or rehabilitation setting
