Camp Quality New Zealand supports children aged 5 to 16 living with cancer by creating moments of fun, connection and joy through camps and year-round programmes. Powered by volunteers and backed by generous supporters, our work gives children the chance to simply be kids again, even during the toughest of times.

We are now seeking an experienced General Manager to lead Camp Quality into its next chapter of sustainability, resilience and growth.

About the role :

This is a senior leadership opportunity with genuine purpose. Following a recent organisational review, Camp Quality is moving toward a model of organisational resilience, focused on strong governance, financial sustainability and robust systems to support long-term impact.

You will lead a national team and work closely with an engaged Board, enabling you to focus on the strategic leadership of the organisation while empowering staff and volunteers to deliver exceptional camps and programmes.

This is not a business as usual GM role. It is a chance to shape the future of a much-loved charity.

This role also requires a hands on connection with our volunteer community. You will be expected to work some evenings and weekends and travel around New Zealand from time to time to attend camps, meetings and events.

Key responsibilities :

• Lead delivery of the Board-approved Strategic Plan and embed organisational values and Te Tiriti commitments
• Provide strong financial oversight including budgeting, forecasting and cashflow management
• Strengthen organisational systems, policies and operational frameworks across all regions
• Support and mentor Regional Managers, staff and volunteers
• Build strong relationships with key partners including hospitals and child cancer support organisations
• Act as the primary link between the Board, leadership team and wider stakeholder network
• Travel across Aotearoa to attend camps, training days and key stakeholder events
